ABOUT TONEKA

With the perfect blend of athleticism and entrepreneurship, Toneka Pires has established a name for herself in the highly competitive field of fitness. Competing against world-class athletes, Toneka has been a top five finisher in both the Fitness America World Championships and the Fitness Universe Pageant. She has also earned thirteen fitness championship titles over the past six years – including the 2007 Fitness America New York Pageant. Toneka has earned a place among an elite circle of athletes, and is very much in the public eye.

Toneka’s hard-earned physique has garnered national attention, recently appearing on billboards across the country, as part of the Blue Cross Anthem Health and Fitness Campaign. She has also appeared in numerous calendars and such diverse fitness and fashion magazines as Glamour, Shape, Allure, Natural Bodybuilding, Ms. Fitness, and Oxygen Magazine. Toneka has also been the face of Fitness America, having appeared in their online marketing materials – including the posters for the 2009 Capitol Championships and the 2009 Fitness America Weekend in Las Vegas.

Beyond the modeling, Toneka took her Bachelor of Science in Business Management – where she graduated with honors – and co-founded BWell Fit, a company focused on helping its clients achieve their fitness and wellness goals. As an entrepreneur, mentor, and overall fitness icon, Toneka is a proud advocate and role model for young women.

Toneka has also taken to the airwaves, promoting healthy lifestyles both on radio and television. As a spokesmodel, she has shared her expertise on many local and national radio programs, including an appearance as a guest host/fitness expert on Jamie Foxx’s Sirius Satellite Radio Show Foxxhole. Toneka also makes a monthly appearance on Dr. Andrea Pennington’s Empowered For Life, where she speaks about fitness and total wellness. Television credits include ESPN, and True Life “I Want a Perfect Body II” on the MTV Network. Toneka continues to build on her public appearances, and would love to one day host her own television show.
